Schepping

Zodat men hier nooit op uitgekeken raakt

Garden

Throughout the world
there are many different gardens
 that people have designed.

 In a Japanese garden,
every tree is perfectly pruned,
without a leaf out of place.
 Nothing is planted without forethought
as to the exact place appropriate to it.

 There are English gardens
that are famous for their roses and perfect lines of shrubbery.
 The number of garden types
are too numerous to mention.

One thing is true of all gardens.
It is joint creation between man's intention
to create a space of tranquility
 and nature's ability to comply.

Liefde

Ik hoor God spreken,
over Zijn liefde voor mij.
in elke bloem die bloeit,
een vogel die zingt zo blij.

Zachte handen die mij strelen,
als Hij langskomt in de avondwind.
Om het fijne koren te wiegen,
de ogen van bloemen verbindt.

En in 't kloppen van Zijn hart,
ervaar ik `t ritme van Zijn liefde.
Ik hoor zachtjes zijn stem,
voor mij die Hem eens griefde.

God houd van mij en is verliefd,
alles van Hem is een gave.
en elke gave van Zijn woord,
is waarin ik mij laafde.

zachtjes hoor ik God spreken,
over Zijn liefde voor mij.
In bomen die lieflijk wiegen,
door `t ruisen van de wind,
voel ik me vrij.

Christ's garden

Christ's garden "I have come into My garden--My sister, My bride!" Song of Solomon 5:1

The heart of the believer is Christ's garden. He bought it with His precious blood, and He enters it and claims it as His own.
A garden implies separation. It is not the open common; it is not a wilderness; it is walled around, or hedged in. Would that we could see the wall of separation between the Christian and the world made broader and stronger. It makes one sad to hear professors saying, "Well, there is no harm in this; there is no harm in that," thus getting as near to the world as possible! Grace is at a low ebb in that soul, which can even raise the question of how far it may go in worldly conformity.
A garden is a place of beauty, it far surpasses the wild uncultivated fields. The genuine Christian must seek to be more excellent in his life than the best moralist, because Christ's garden ought to produce the best flowers in all the world. Even the best is poor--compared with Christ's deservings; let us not put Him off with withered and dwarf plants. The rarest, richest, choicest lilies and roses--ought to bloom in Christ's own garden!
The garden is a place of growth. The saints are not to remain undeveloped, always mere buds and blossoms. We should grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Growth should be rapid where Jesus is the Gardener, and the Holy Spirit the dew from above.
A garden is a place of retirement. So the Lord Jesus Christ would have us reserve our hearts as a place in which He can manifest Himself, as He does not unto the world. O that Christians were more retired, that they kept their hearts more closely locked up for Christ! We often worry and trouble ourselves, like Martha, with much serving--so that we have not the room for Christ that Mary had, and do not sit at His feet as we should.
May the Lord grant the sweet showers of His grace to water His garden this day!

Charles Spurgeon

Levensbron

U, die mij voerde naar de Levensbron,
leer mij om dagelijks daaruit te drinken;
opdat ik niet in dorheid zal verzinken,
maar uitzie naar de lichte horizon.
U, die mij leidde uit de zandwoestijn,
de weg wees naar de hemelse oase,
waar wonden heelden, spanningen genazen;
laat heel mijn leven in Uw handen zijn.

 Die ene bloem

Kijk haar staan Die bloem

Levensbron

was warm geweest
Voor de planten een feest
Alles bloeide.. je voelde hun geest.
Zo vriendelijk en eerlijk tevree
Ik genoot van die heerlijke geuren
Die mijn tuin opfleurden
De bloemen ze groeiden open!
Alsof ze wilde gaan lopen
Ze wuifden zachtjes heen en weer

Avondschemer

The Garden Path

Let's stroll along a garden path
And just enjoy the day
No thoughts or worries fill our minds
We'll just wander on our way....

Forget about life's problems
You'll see that they will keep
Just walk with me a little ways
Nature's blessings we will reap.

Let's find some joy in little things
We'll talk of nothing much
Just wander down the garden path
Sweet flowers we shall touch.

We'll find a spot to sit awhile
And watch the clouds float by
We'll listen to the song of birds
And sigh a pleasant sigh.

When at last the day is over
And home now we must go
Take the memory along with you
For the days you're feeling low.

blindelings vertrouwen.
Er is geen felle kleur voor nodig,
om dit te onthouden.

Rood staat voor liefde.
Twee gedachten worden één.
Er zijn geen woorden nodig,
zij zijn nooit meer alleen.

Een roos in het donker.
Een roos in de nacht.
Een roos in het maanlicht

 Bloemen

In Gods hof bloeien Hemelse bloemen

Gardening God's way

Plant three rows of peas:

Peace of mind
Peace of heart
Peace of soul

Plant four rows of squash:
Squash gossip
Squash indifference
Squash grumbling
Squash selfishness

Plant four rows of lettuce:
Lettuce be faithful
Lettuce be kind
Lettuce be obedient
Lettuce really love one another

No garden should be without turnips:
Turnip for meetings
Turnip for service
Turnip to help one another

Water freely with patience and Cultivate with love.
There is abundance in your garden.... Because you reap what you sow.

To conclude our garden, We must have time:
Time for God
Time for study
Time for prayer

Pretty nice garden!

My garden

My garden, is full of roses

Each one is special as can be.
They are magnificent, yet fragile
Until I bring them Home to Me.

"So many beautiful colors and sizes
The differences make them unique.
I will tend to My roses and teach them
To be strong and not to be weak.

"Delicate are all of the petals
Of the rosebuds as they hide
So many wonderful treasures
That are a part of them deep inside.

"With love and with some patience
These tiny buds start to bloom.
And the treasures that they hold
Will be in full splendor soon.

"The petals are so very beautiful
As they soak up treasures from above.
There is a sweet scent of harmony
As I'm tending My garden with Love.

"With the bright Son Light of Jesus
The Living water each and everyday,
Beautiful roses reach toward Heaven
As they grow and mature along the way.

"At last, when they are at their peak
And their petals are opened wide,
Treasures that they give
and receiveIs something that can't be denied.

"Then they'll return up to Heaven
They won't have to reach any more.
They will be with the One who loves them
With treasures of peace and loveforevermore.

Beauty within

When God chose the Rose of Sharon
To be lifted there on high,
What was the gift He gave
As He suffered there to die.

Did He open up the door
To let His light, within my soul,
Did He take away the darkness
So I could be made whole.

Did He replace all of my emptiness
And fill me with His love,
Did He bless my heart with peace
By coming from above.

Does my life now have a purpose
To wake upon each day,
Shall I rest upon His promises
As He shows a perfect way.

Will He bubble up within me
Like a living flowing spring,
To bring me joy and laughter
And loveliness between.

Will the power in His precious blood
Move me on to be,
Not trapped in all my yesterdays
His death to set me free.

Oh lift me fragrant Jesus
Into Your sufficiency,
May the beauty of Your life
Bloom within the heart of me.

I come to the garden alone

I come to the garden alone

While the dew is still on the roses

And the voice I hear falling on my ear

The Son of God discloses.

And He walks with me,

and He talks with me,

And He tells me I am His own;

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice,

Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,

And the melody that He gave to me

Within my heart is ringing.

I’d stay in the garden with Him

Though the night around me be falling,

But He bids me go;

through the voice of wo

His voice to me is calling.

God's Rainbow

The falling rain dissolves into mist

And the thunder begins to die
As the sporadic lightning fades
An arch of color pours from the sky.

Rainbows appear after mighty storms
When things look their worst
Just when the sky is darkest gray,
Out of Heaven does a rainbow burst.

God first sent the rainbow to Noah
As a sign that His word is true
The rainbow's eternal message
Still speaks to me and you.

The rainbow is a sign of God's promise
That He will guide us through any storm
That He will ease all our troubles,
No matter what their form.

When you feel battered by life's storms
And you are filled with doubt and dismay
Just remember God's rainbow is coming,
For it's blessing you have only to pray.

Rose Within

A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully, and before it
blossomed, he examined it. He saw the bud that would soon blossom
and also the thorns. And he thought, "How can any beautiful flower
come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns?" Saddened
by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and before it was
ready to bloom, it died.

So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The
God-like qualities planted in us at birth grow amid the thorns of our
faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the
defects. We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come
from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it
dies. We never realize our potential.

Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else
must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts a person can possess
is to be able to reach past the thorns and find the rose within others.
This is the characteristic of love, to look at a person, and knowing his
faults, recognize the nobility in his soul, and help him realize that he
can overcome his faults. If we show him the rose, he will conquer the
thorns. Then will he blossom, blooming forth thirty, sixty, a hundred-fold
as it is given to him.

Our duty in this world is to help others by showing them their roses and
not their thorns. Only then can we achieve the love we should feel for
each other; only then can we bloom in our own garden.

 A Woman''s Garden

There's something special about a woman's garden.
It is filled with so many wonderful things.
It is those things in a woman's garden
that makes the things in life a little bit brighter.
Just yesterday,

I planted a garden of my own.
In it is mercy, grace, kindness, forgiveness,
patience and love.
I planted mercy first because mercy is often
what I need the most.
I planted grace second because unmerited favor in full bloom can make any garden of life grand.
I planted kindness third,
not because it isn't important,
but because mercy prepares the way for kindness.

Kindness is a tender smile and a gentle touch.
I planted forgiveness and patience together,
though some say that isn't proper to mix seed.
However, these are two plants that must bloom together.

Forgiveness frees us while patience
shows us how to maintain forgiveness.
Patience perfects us while forgiveness cleanses us.
Lastly,I planted love.
It is the perfect bond
that holds everything else together.

I planted love last because its roots are broad.
They spread throughout the entire garden
and nourish everything planted therein.
A woman's garden keeps her home together.
It brings a certain sunshine
to her corner of the world.

Though she plants all that she is,
it yields a harvest that is larger than life
and with far-reaching consequences.
Never underestimate the garden of a woman,
which is the depths of her heart.
What flows from it are the issues of life.
What garden have you planted, woman?

God's Rose

I took a lengthy walk today thinking I was alone.
I walked so fast I did not see the trees, the sky, the stones.
Something inside began to warm a place within my heart.
A voice began to speak to me- and it began to start.
Although the footsteps I could hear were certainly my own;
I know there was another set upon the open road.
It was as if another one was walking by my side-
whispering words into my ear which made me softly cry.

"Slow down and look around you, child. There's so much here to
see. Did you notice that small nest above in My glorious pine tree? Did you see the sky, the vibrant sun and feel My breeze upon your face? Have you heard the singing stream or seen the eagle fly with grace? Did you notice all the colors I have painted on the land? Have you looked at all the mountain tops which stand proud and grand? And what of that small child, who plays with such delight? Or, the sounds of that child's laughter in a world so full of fright? Have you seen the meadow gently sway when My wind blows through the air? Did you see the violets in the field - or not notice they were there?"

My steps began to slow until I stood so very still.
It felt like God had spoken- was this part of His will?
Or, was it my imagination running wild like the night?
It felt so real, so warm and true - I knew I couldn't fight-
His message to look and really 'see' the wonders all around.
I realized my feet were walking upon more than simply 'ground'.

A tear made a path down my face and I smiled at the sky.
I knew my tears were ones of joy and my heart began to fly.
With every step I saw something as if for the very first time.
The babbling brook; the soft green grass; the beautiful sunshine.
I found myself wandering as my steps began to slow.
I bent over and finally took the time-
to smell God's glorious rose.

Jesus, Rose of Sharon

Jesus, Rose of Sharon, bloom within my heart;
Beauties of Thy truth and holiness impart,
That where'er I go my life may shed abroad
Fragrance of the knowledge of the love of God.

Jesus, blessèd Jesus,
Rose of Sharon, Rose of Sharon,
Bloom in radiance
And in love within my heart.

Jesus, Rose of Sharon, sweeter far to see
Than the fairest flow'rs of earth could ever be,
Fill my life completely, adding more each day
Of Thy grace divine and purity, I pray.

Jesus, blessèd Jesus, Rose of Sharon,
Rose of Sharon, Bloom in radiance
And in love within my heart.

Jesus, Rose of Sharon, balm for ev'ry ill,
May Thy tender mercy's healing power distil
For afflicted souls of weary burdened men,
Giving needy mortals health and hope again.

Jesus, blessèd Jesus,
Rose of Sharon, Rose of Sharon,
Bloom in radiance
And in love within my heart.

Jesus, Rose of Sharon, bloom forevermore;
Be Thy glory seen on earth from shore to shore,
Till the nations own Thy sov'reignty complete,
Lay their honors down and worship at Thee feet.

Jesus, blessèd Jesus, Rose of Sharon,
Rose of Sharon, Bloom in radiance
And in love within my heart.

God In A Rose

One of my very favorite flowers is the rose,
but I never had much practical knowledge about roses until I began to look for some "rosy" thoughts to share.
I learned that Columbus discovered America because of a rose. On October 11, 1492,
in the Sargasso Sea, one of Columbus' crewmen picked a rose branch from the water.
This sign of land renewed their hope for survival and gave them the courage to continue their journey. The rose is the official National Floral emblem of the United States since Nov. 20, 1986.
It is the state flower of 4 states and of Washington, D.C. According to one legend,
the rose was born from a smile of Cupid,
but we know it is one of God's finest gifts to humanity. Its combination of beauty and fragrance are seldom surpassed by any other bloom.
A rose has been fashioned by God,
who was not content with making one kind of flower. No, God, in His amazing creativity,
has made probably thousands of varieties of flowers, each one unique.
How much like His creativity in fashioning people! I'm thinking of you as roses today,
each one beautiful in your own way. Some are sweet and fresh little rosebuds;
some in the full bloom of maturity;
and some of you may even feel as though you are wilting today.
Like the rose, you have been created by God,
made to fulfill a special purpose.
You are much more precious to your Creator than any rose.
And He knows and understands each
and every one He has made. Let's take a few minutes to look at three distinct features of a rose.
1. A rose is dressed in finery provided by the Creator. Man may fashion a rose of silk or another fine material, but no fabric can compare with the petals in which God dresses His roses. He desires to dress us in His finery, too. When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, they became aware of their guilt. They tried to cover their guilt with leaves around their bodies, but God saw right into their souls. God had mercy, and He provided a covering for Adam and Eve. He dressed them with animal skins. You and I have sinned against God also, but God, in His mercy, provides much more than a mere covering for us; He offers to dress us in His righteousness--His goodness -- and make us clean and beautiful in His sight. The Bible says that Jesus, who had never sinned, became sin for us -- on the cross -- so that we could be made the righteousness of God in Him. He exchanges His goodness for our sin when we believe in Him and accept His gift of forgiveness.
2. Not only is a rose dressed in God's finery, but a rose has another wonderful attribute. Does anything smell as glorious as a rose? When my roses bloom, I look carefully to make sure there's no bee hovering near; then I bend down to get close -- nose-to-rose-close -- and I inhale slowly and deeply, savoring the heavenly aroma. Did you know that you can have the sweet aroma of Jesus Christ in your life? The Bible says Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God in payment for our sin. God the Father was pleased with Jesus as He gave His life for us on the cross, and His obedience is likened to a fragrant offering.
The more time we spend with Jesus Christ, getting to know Him better,
the more we will resemble Him;
we will begin to bear His fragrance.
In the Bible, we read that through us,
God spreads the knowledge of Christ;
that, everywhere we go,
we give off a sweet scent rising to God.
This is how it is in our relationship with Jesus --
If we immerse ourselves in reading His Word;
in knowing and following Him;
we will pick up His sweetness, --
the fragrance of Christ --
and it will be noticeable to everyone we meet.
3. The third feature of the rose seems undesirable at first glance. We look at a rose -- breathtakingly beautiful -- and we can't help but wonder:
Why would our Creator-
God make such a wonderful thing as a rose,
and then put thorns around it? Anyone among us who has any knowledge of Bible teachings will answer that thorns and thistles
began to grow on the earth
after Adam and Eve sinned.
Yes, that was the beginning
of the presence of thorns, but there is so much more to consider.
The contrast of rose and thorns is puzzling
when we observe it,
yet the thorns serve to highlight the delicate, wondrous beauty of the rose.
More than that,
there is a message hidden
within the rose and the thorns.
When we understand that message,
we will appreciate not only the exquisite flower,
but also the thorns that adorn it. You pick a rose, drawn by its beauty,
but suddenly your finger is pierced and you experience a stab of pain,
while a drop of scarlet blood appears on your finger. Thorn -- Pain -- Blood.
You see the parallel -- the hidden message --
and you whisper a prayer.
"Thank You, Lord, for enduring the pain of your crown of thorns, for shedding your sacred, precious blood on the cross to provide forgiveness for my sins.
" You have begun to understand the value of the thorns.
You have seen God in a rose. There was no hint of beauty in the crown of thorns He wore,
as His sacred head was bleeding and the crowd cried out for more;
No loveliness in Jesus as He hung on Calvary's tree,
but the cross He bore and the thorns
He wore make Him beautiful to me. Now, listen and learn the rest of the message of the thorns.
God, in His graciousness, allows the presence of thorns in our lives.
Thorns of all kinds intrude into our everyday living.
When we encounter thorns, we need to focus on the One Who can help us to bear them.
He has promised to draw near to those who draw near to Him.
He says his strength is made perfect in our weakness.
He tells us to cast all our cares on Him because
He cares for us.
When you give your thorns to Jesus,
He will carry you through; and you will become beautiful through your trust in Him. Like a rose, your beauty will be enhanced by the thorns around you.
May you recall these things the next time you see a rose: God's love for you in your uniqueness, The transformation of being dressed in His righteousness, The fragrance of Jesus from knowing Him well, and the hidden message in the thorns -- They make Jesus beautiful to us and they actually enhance our lives and make us beautiful when we entrust our thorns to Him. When you see these things,
you have seen God in a rose.

Geknakte Roos

In een hoekje van de tuin
stond een geknakte roos.
Men dacht dat zij breken zou,
ze oogde toch zo broos.

In mensenogen waardeloos,
vergeten in dat hoekje
probeerde ze te groeien,
het ging niet volgens 't boekje.

Maar...de tere blaadjes
vouwden zich langzaam uiteen.
Een geurend en uniek geheel
bloeide open, heel alleen.

Geen mensenhand bewerkte
dat ze ging bloeien in de top.
Met een kracht van binnenuit
stond ze ineens rechtop.

Bedauw mij, met Uw Geest,
doortrek me van wortel tot kruin,
zodat ik vol van Levenssappen
mijn plek mag vullen in Uw tuin.

Achter mij ligt schaduwland,
ik richt me naar de Zon,
maar laat me nooit vergeten
te blijven drinken uit Uw Bron.

Als een roos

Als een roos die langzaam open komt

opent zich in mij

de vaste grond

waarop ik rustig bouwen kan

De schoonheid komt langzaam aan het Licht,

God van mijn verlangen die Liefde is,

zichtbaar in elke bloem of mens

voorbij de grens van niet meer weten,

vergeten vormt zich een nieuwe horizon

De Bron wordt herkent

komt stralend aan het Licht

mijn zicht wordt ruimer

de weg breder

mijn hart opent zich totaal,

wil alles geven alles delen,

Die Liefde laat mensen ogen stralen

als sterretjes,

diamanten Hij wil ons verwarmen

omarmen, koesteren keer op keer,

Zo op te bloeien maakt me stil

van vrede en geluk

die God in me zelf overmand!!

Alsof je even in haar hartje kijkt
